If you just want to see what is available, you can look for newsgroups by the first letter by selecting from the table below.

If you already know the name (or part of the name) of a newsgroup and want to verify that Airnews has it, you can click here. For example, specifying just the word "video" will find all groups containing that word. You could also use this to search for all groups in the rec.* hierarchy by saying rec.

Clicking here displays the names of groups that have been added in the past 30 days. If a group appears on this list but not on your newsreader, you may need to refresh your newsgroups list, and most newsreaders have a command to do this.

Caution: The alt.* hierarchy is extremely large, with well over 6,600 newsgroups. Asking for EVERYTHING is even larger, with over 32,550 newsgroups. If you select either of these, it may take some time to download to your system, depending on how fast your connection is.
